- What made you pursue a career in hair and makeup?
I have always had a passion for people. Before working full time in the industry, I was attending UT Tyler in hopes to become a nurse. After 3 long years I realized my interest in serving others was strong, but entrepreneurship seemed to excite me far greater than nursing did. With that being said, I left college and began a fulltime career in beauty. Makeup and hairstyling is what I do but making a positive impact on someone else, is why I do it.
- Why the bridal industry?
I have been a professional makeup artist for several years servicing galas, proms, styled shoots etc. It was not until after getting married myself, that I found an interest in hairstyling and the bridal industry. Witnessing the firsthand pressures of being a bride brought me a new prospective. As a bride you want nothing less than perfection and that can be an overwhelming feeling without any help. I saw a need and wanted to fufill it.
